That’s why we’ve turned to Natalie Puglisi, Esq. to help us navigate this often intimidating road. We sat down with Natalie to learn more about her business and passion for helping small business entrepreneurs thrive.
BWM: First the fun stuff; how do you enjoy spending a weekend in Boston? Any favorite spots or recommendations?
Natalie: On the weekends, I really just enjoy spending time with the family. We love going on bike rides or having a picnic in the park. What's your favorite Podcast or Book of the moment? I’m loving Super Attractor by Gabrielle Bernstein
BWM: Do you have a favorite go-to business tool or resource you can recommend to the BWM community?
Natalie: I LOVE Trello, Acuity Scheduling and Later for my business.
BWM: Ok, let's get down to business. After working for years as a bankruptcy attorney, you said something was missing. Can you tell us more about that?
Natalie: Sure! I wasn’t catering to women as much as I wanted to. I absolutely loved my bankruptcy clients but I felt like I was meant to help more women out. When I opened up my own firm I didn’t know how to legally set up my business. So I did the legal research, wrote my own contracts and found out as much as I possibly could about setting up my own business. It was stressful and so time consuming. Then I realized, if it was hard for me to figure this all out then imagine how difficult it would be for another entrepreneur who’s not an attorney. That’s when I started catering to other female entrepreneurs.

Watching my clients step into their businesses with more confidence and support lights me up! I really look at my business as a butterfly effect … when I see my clients succeed and grow, I feel like I had a little something to do with it.
BWM: When did your mission turn to helping small business owners? Did you have a specific experience or "Aha" moment that helped you find this path?
Natalie: Shortly after I started my own firm, I met my husband who’s a serial entrepreneur. He really helped and guided me in my journey. Soon we had a lot of family and friends who would invite us out to dinner to “pick our brains”. They really got a two-for-one. My husband would guide them in whatever business venture they thought of and I would guide them from a legal perspective. Seeing how grateful everyone was for our time and knowledge really made me realize how much I wanted to help other small business owners.
BWM: How does your experience as a life and success coach influence the way you work with small business owners in a legal capacity?
Natalie: I like to say that I’m probably one of the only Woo Woo attorneys out there! I fully embrace spirituality and intuition! Having a background as a life and success coach has really allowed me to connect more with my clients and help them expand their businesses. I have a lot of clients who are manifestation coaches, intuitive healers and other non-traditional small business owners. Being able to relate to them on a deeper level and truly understanding their businesses really allows me to provide greater protection for them. As a business owner, you always have to expect the unexpected.
BWM: Can you tell us about a time in the development of your business when something didn't go quite according to plan and you had to "Embrace the flux”?
Natalie: Honestly, starting my own firm was embracing change for me in a HUGE way! I’ve never wanted to be an entrepreneur. My father owned his own business and my mother worked a 9-to-5. I took one look at my mom’s job and thought “Yup! That I want… consistency.” When I joined a small local firm, I thought that I had found that, but when the two partners told us only two associates that they were letting us go to prepare for retirement, we were both floored. That’s when I started my own firm… out of necessity basically. I was still applying for job while I built my firm out. Little did I know that the Universe had other plans. I’m so grateful that I leaned into being an entrepreneur because, as I said earlier, this business lights me up more than anything I’ve ever done business-wise.
BWM: If you could give one piece of advice to another woman wanting to kick start their passion, what would that be?
Natalie: Just start! Do the messy action! Just jump! It took me so long to actually “get that”, but I wouldn’t live my life any other way now. This was super fun to fill out!!
